In honor of the 75th anniversary of National Disability Employment Awareness Month and the 30th anniversary of the American’s with Disabilities Act this year, Creative Spirit continued its #WhyICare series by interviewing Mari Kim Novak, a Creative Spirit board member who has been a staunch supporter from the beginning. In her interview, Mari Kim elaborated on what motivates her support for #neurodiverse people with #disabilities and #EmploymentEquality.
“Why I care so much and why I give so much of my time to this is honestly because it’s impossible not to,” Mari says. “To look at an entire population of individuals who are #intelligent, who are #creative, who have a desire to #work and to #innovate, it’s a population that is almost impossible to believe has been left out of the equation for so long.”
