On Oct. 20, we held a special fundraiser and celebration at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, hosted by Advertising Week. This year’s event was unique in marking the 5th anniversary of Creative Spirit’s founding in 2017. The event provided an opportunity to spotlight all of our progress over the past 5 years in connecting our candidates with fair-wage employment and helping them build their confidence and self-advocacy through our coaching and mentoring services. The fundraiser also helped raise awareness of our #HireDifferent mission to place at least 1 million candidates in fair-wage jobs by 2030.
None of the progress we’ve made since our founding would have been possible without the outstanding individuals and organizations who have supported us from the start. Our honorees at this year’s event Advertising Week and C Talent Founder/President Keely Cat-Wells, our founding partner The ADVERTISING Club of New York, along with MRM, Sony Verizon, Voya, and sponsors Infillion, SalientMG, Vayner, and Yieldmo worked tirelessly to make this year’s event a once-in-a-lifetime spectacular. A special thanks to our tireless event chair and trustee, Andrea Sullivan. The event featured a silent auction and comedy by our own Todd Stone, a former Creative Spirit candidate, and his brother Adam, along with a musical performance by hip-hop artist Ludacris.
