Creative Spirit played an important role in helping me build my confidence and independence. While I was still in college, Creative Spirit helped me secure an internship at Verizon, where I worked as an Administrative Assistant at their headquarters. Through this experience, I developed valuable organizational, communication, and computer skills while gaining the confidence to take on new challenges. The opportunity and support I received helped open the door to my current role at The Arc of New Jersey, where I continue to learn, grow, and build. My journey is a reminder of the transformative power of inclusive employment and the importance of creating meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities. With the right support, encouragement, and opportunities, people with disabilities can achieve their goals, build fulfilling careers, and reach their full potential.
